* Remember that the pchat is a canvas SHARING program. Do not use up a lot of the canvas. There are other people who would like to draw.
* Please do not draw “boxes” of where you are going to work. It's really rude. If you want to take up so much space with no one else around please find an oekaki, or an different art program. The only time it would be okay to draw a “box” is if the log has eaten you work. Otherwise don't do it. Be polite. The pchat is a canvas sharing program. Be considerate of you space.
* When you leave the room please erase your work. We cannot stress that enough. Please DO NOT say “erase my work if you want,” don't be lazy erase it yourself. It is a rule. We all share a canvas, so be respectful for the next person coming in. If you repeatedly do it we will hand you out a ban. Mods are smarter then you think.
Q: Do I need to be over 18 to go into the “+18 Only” rooms?
Q: What if I break a rule?
Q: What if I see someone else breaking a rule?
Those people would be Aoi, Flash, Kaine, Michi, Naru, Oduim, Raikita, Sheep, Turisas, TyLowell, Vanillia.
Please do NOT abuse this power. The moderators are only people and we eat and sleep and have jobs too. Not only can we not always be on; we are not here to play a he-said-she-said games. We need the rule to CURRENTLY being broken or you have proof. If you have a problem with a user that's not pchat related please do not bring moderators into it. We have lives too. Abuse of this power will lead to a warning. If it continues it will lead to a ban.
We would love to be your friend, but bothering us just makes us not like you.
Q: Username/Password incorrect!
- Please make sure that your username or password is correct
- Make sure you have not received a ban
- Try to change your password (even if it is the same thing). You can do that here:
Edit Account
- If not please contact a FORUM moderator or and ADMINISTOR. Please do not mail a paintchat mod for they cannot fix it. The people to contact would be: Flash, Ph30nix, Marlowe, Roy, ChoopyChoo.

Q: Is there a difference between NORMAL TOOLS and ADVANCED TOOLS?
If you have ever used the Oekaki
-Shi-Painter Normal = Normal tools
-Shi-Painter Pro = Advanced tools
Q: Do I have to earn my tools?
Q: Are there any tools I can't use?
1. Create a new layer
2. Use the fill tool
3. Use the clear tool
All these tools have been locked and only moderators have access to them. Do not ask for the power to use them. Moderators will not give it to you.
Q: Are there more tools then the ones I can see?
Q: Is there only the Pencil Tool?
* Pencil is just like the pencil tool you find in MS paint. It is a pixel brush.
* Water tool will bend the two colors together. It's like a mixing tool
* Air Brush tool is just what it says. It works like an air brush
* Pen too is like a smoother pencil tool
* EPen tool, is odd. It's almost like a texture tool
NOTE: If you change the SIZE Epen tool it will change the texture. You cannot change the size of the Epen tool.
* Mosaic tool makes your picture look kind of like a mosaic or when something is being censored.
Q: What are the tools under the pencil tool?
* Dodge tool makes the color lighter
* Burn tool makes the color darker
* Soft is a blur tool
* Text lets you type text. You don't need to drag the text box to where you want it. You can just click where you'd like the text and the box should pop up there. To make your text appear on the canvas, just click enter
* Combine makes everything selected go onto the layer you are currently on.
Q: Can I move and/or flip my picture?
* Copy what ever you select in the box will be copied. Drag and drop the box to somewhere else on the canvas where you'd like to copy it. Remember this is NOT a moving tool. It's a copying tool. So even tho it can be used as a moving tool the original picture will still be there after you've moved it. So make sure erase the original picture after you've moved it.
Note: You can only copy things on the same layer. Anything on a different layer will not be effected by the copy.
* Flip X Flips the image horizontally
* Flip Y Flips the image vertically
* Rotate flips in 90° to the left
Q: Do the Erasers do different things?
* Eraser is like the square eraser in MS paint, it's a pixel eraser
* ESmooth is like an ' pen' eraser' It's just a smoother eraser, it's like a buddy to the pen tool
* Erase Rec the rectangle region you select will be erased
* Erase All WILL NEVER, EVER BE USED. It clears the whole canvas. On Manga Masters is locked. Only Moderators have assess to use this tool. Do not ask the moderators for permission to use this tool. They will not give it to you.
Note: If you need the canvas cleared please tell a moderators We'd love to help you!
Q: There any other colors other then the colors on the tool bar?
Q: There more options to the pencil tool?
Note: Remember everything by default is get to Freehand or Curve. If you want your pen to make lines, then select the Line tool. This will ONLY change your pen tool. If you switch back to you pencil tool it will be on freehand.
* Freehand is just what it says it is. You can free hand your drawing
* Curve is the same as Freehand, except it makes the lines smoother
Note: I'd use it for the pen tool. It just makes the pen softer
* Line makes you draw straight lines
* Bezier Is just like the line took but lets you curve the lines
* Rectangle Makes filled in rectangles
* Rectangle Line Makes an outline of a rectangle
* Oval Makes a solid oval
* Oval Line Makes an outline of a oval
* Fill SHOULD NEVER BE USED. It will fill the canvas and everyone will be pissed at you. Don't do it. It's like the paint bucket, but you SHOULD NOT USE IT. On Manga Master's the fill tool is lock and only moderators have access to it. The moderators will not use it nor will they give you the power to use it. Do no ask for it.
Q: Can I change the size of my brush/tool?
Q: Where are the layers?
Single click will change the layer you are on to the one above. Double click will pop out the layer window. In the layer window the black bar can be moved back and forth. When you move it, that will change the opacity of the layer.
Click on the circle on the right will hide the layer. Because we use version 3.63 no one else will be able to see your opacity changes or layer hiding so feel free to do it all you want.
Q: Can you add more layers?
We do not allow adding layers because in the past this power has been abused and too many layers can over load the pchat and crash it. There will only be three layers ever.
Q: How do you zoom in and out?
Q: Does my pen pressure work for the pchat?
Currently there is not JTablet for Macs (sorry).
* Alpha is how hard you have to apply to your pen to make a dark line. The lower the Alpha bar the harder you need to press
* Size how much pressure you need to apply to get a bigger brush. The less pressure you apply the smaller the brush. The lower the bar the harder you have to push to get a bigger brush.
Q: The Pen Pressure menu won't open!
- Make sure you own a tablet. You CANNOT use the pen pressure without a tablet.
- Make sure your tablet driver is correctly installed.
* Here are the WACOM tablet drivers: Wacom Drivers
- Make sure you have installed JTablet correctly
- Close the browser you have opened (ALL OF THEM) and open a new one.
- If that doesn't work you must clear your temporary JAVA files.
Q: What do the buttons at for? (F, Fall and Leave)
* F makes the chat window a separate window from the pchat. To undo it just hit F again
* Fall Makes the pchat itself a new window apart from the browser. To undo it hit the Fall again
---> Note: You MUST still keep the browser open. If you close it the pchat will also close
* Leave makes you leave the pchat
