I can't believe some of you don't BitTorrent. Your missing out on so much. Especially now there are Hi Definition torrents out there. It's a gold mine of animé out there and without BitTorrent, or IRC you are just scraping the surface.
You will also need the correct video codecs that are out there to play the videos, use http://www.cccp-project.net/ for the codecs, and http://www.utorrent.com/download.php for the torrent client.

Sometimes I use torrent for ipod ready material, such as naruto shippuuden eps. 1-34, which I've just finished watching, but can't find the next lot of series. If any of you ever stumble across naruto shipuuden 35+ in ipod ready format, please give me a link.

I'll have a look, most Fansub anime is now switching to x264 or h264 codec. All you really need is a video converter tool that can lower the quality and change the filetype so it can be played back on an ipod.

Warning: It is extremly hard to transcode a h264/x264 into any other format. I know.. I have tried on several occasions. I would try looking for an "avi" version if you can because that is a more widely accepted format not "mkv" because its only a play holder and doesn't work on media devices. If you fancy having a look in converting videos, search for "transcoding". You'll probably be directed to doom9 (which is a dvd/video community).

Well then i guess your right. I've never converted video myself except for making gif's, and i only use a frame grabber for that.

The other resaon is WHY?
why would anyone want to shrink videos to fit on a 640x480 ipod video screen. All the anime i get is now 704x400, 1024x576 wide-screen or higher. Wouldn't your pc be better?
